Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Book Life Coach platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Book Life Coach governing your access to and use of the Platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Agreement
By accessing or using the Book Life Coach platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users, including coaches, clients, and visitors.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
2. Platform Description
Service Overview
Book Life Coach is an online marketplace that connects clients seeking personal development with certified life coaches. The Platform facilitates discovery, booking, scheduling, video sessions, and payments between coaches and clients.
Independent Contractors
Coaches on the Platform are independent contractors, not employees of Book Life Coach. We do not control, direct, or supervise the coaching services provided. Book Life Coach is a technology platform, not a coaching service provider.
3. User Accounts
Registration
You must create an account to access most features of the Platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
One Account Per Role
Each email address may only be associated with one account role (coach or client). If you wish to use the Platform in both capacities, you must register with separate email addresses.
4. Coach Terms
Eligibility and Verification
Coaches must provide accurate information about their qualifications, certifications, and experience. Book Life Coach reserves the right to verify credentials and suspend or remove coaches who provide false information.
Platform Fee
Coaches agree to a 30% platform fee on all completed sessions. The remaining 70% is automatically transferred to the coach's connected Stripe account within 7 days of session completion.
Stripe Connect
Coaches must connect a valid Stripe account to receive payouts. Coaches are responsible for any taxes applicable to their earnings and must comply with all applicable tax laws.
Session Standards
Coaches agree to conduct sessions professionally, punctually, and in accordance with the scheduled booking. Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in account suspension.
5. Client Terms
Booking and Payment
Clients agree to pay the full session fee at the time of booking. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By completing a booking, you authorise the charge to your payment method.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Clients may reschedule sessions at least 24 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a session may not be eligible for a refund at the coach's discretion.
Conduct
Clients agree to engage with coaches respectfully and professionally. Harassment, abuse, or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate account termination.
6. Payment and Refunds
Payment Processing
All financial transactions are handled by Stripe. By using the Platform, you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to these Terms.
Refund Policy
Refunds are issued at the discretion of Book Life Coach. Sessions cancelled by coaches will result in a full refund. Disputes between coaches and clients regarding session quality should be reported to support@booklifecoach.com within 7 days of the session.
Revenue Split
Platform fees are distributed as follows: 70% to the coach, 30% retained by Book Life Coach for platform operations, Stripe processing fees, and partner distributions.
7. Intellectual Property
Platform Content
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Book Life Coach or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
User Content
By submitting content to the Platform (including profile information, session notes, and reviews), you grant Book Life Coach a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute such content for the purpose of operating the Platform.
8. Limitation of Liability
No Warranty
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Book Life Coach does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that coaching outcomes will meet your expectations.
Liability Cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Book Life Coach's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the total fees you paid to Book Life Coach in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
By You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@booklifecoach.com. Termination does not affect any outstanding bookings or financial obligations.
By Book Life Coach
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or harm the Platform or its users, with or without prior notice.
10. Governing Law
Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and failing that, through binding arbitration.
11. Changes to Terms
Updates
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent platform notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
